More Inspiration from Provence!

One of my favorite weekly activities is hanging with my aunt Christie while our kids swim at the pool.  While trying to keep a close eye on our kids, we drool over images from our favorite magazines!
Simple moments with family and loved one's can be such a blast!  It's what I live for!
Christie... I love ya!!

Here are some of our favorites:

Soft... Timeless Architecture

These beautiful images makes me yearn for a beautiful country getaway surrounded by beautiful landscaping.  The structures are so charming and timeless!
I hope you enjoy these images as much as I do.

This driveway was replaced with old Napoleon cobblestones.
Now I know where we got the Saltbox structure.

This pond was originally a watering place for horses.

... another Saltbox structure

Nothing is better than chunky shutters painted a soft, chalky blue/green.

I love this beautiful country home designed in the Flemish style.

If I had to design a gate... this is exactly what it would look like!

Did I forget to mention I want this as well?
How fun would this be as a garage?

Such a gorgeous garden!

Those shutters coupled with steel windows... WOW!

Such a beautiful table in the perfect setting!

... perfection!

Unlike Any Food Store I Have Ever Seen!!

Nothing I love more than a beautiful food store selling whole, organic foods.  I would give anything to have this store in my neighborhood.... I would seriously move in!
The atmosphere combined with the beauty of culinary art is beyond anything I have ever seen!
The store is called Daylesford Organic!
They sell foods that are organic, which are from small artisan producers.
They teach people about gardening organic foods and how they can adopt a more organic lifestyle.
Below are several images of different food stores located around Europe:

The Garden

Farmshop, Gloucestershire

Notting Hill, London

Selfridges

Pimlico Road, London

Have you ever seen such stimulation from a food store?
Daylesford... will you please come to Utah?

Creative Rooms

I recently purchased the book The Home Within Us!  Not only are the pictures gorgeous, but the architect Bobby McAlpine explains perfectly the art of designing a beautiful home.
He quotes, "What we crave in life is an outer beauty that reflects the gorgeous world inside us."  He goes on to explain that what we envision can become our reality, because we do have control over our own lives.  He quotes, "We do have the power to create our own environment--and our environment, in turn shapes us.
Amen to that... he nailed it!!

Here are some beautiful images created from the mind of Bobby McAlpine:

 Bobby McApline says it perfectly:
"Where is the place that mirrors our hearts?  Where are we when we feel held and protected and whispered to?  Where does the content of our intimate exchanges ring most true?  By answering the questions of our hearts, the stronger among us become agents of change, making choices that advance the marriage of our interior and exterior lives."

Never be afraid to envision those things you love!
I hope you're all having a wonderful week!!

I couldn't forget to mention the art and craft of Provencal soap!

I can never get enough of this region's beautiful, creative lifestyle.  For over two thousand years, local artisans and families worked hard to keep their authentic traditions alive.  Provence reflects such a unique way of life, one which I love dearly!

Have a wonderful week!!!
